What is Activated Charcoal dietary supplement used for?

What is the dosage and when should I take it?
If taking as a health supplement take 1 capule daily on an empty stomach. If taking to eliminate toxins in an unhealthy meal/drink, take 1 capsule with the food/drink.

Is this free from fillers and bulking agents?
Yes, it contains no bulking agents, fillers, carriers or anti-caking agents, only one single natural ingredient - pure Activated Coconut Shell Charcoal.
Where is it from and how can you guarantee it's safe?
Our Coconut shell charcoal is sourced from China and then encapsulated here in the UK (Under GMP Licence). Is it best to take Activated Charcoal with a meal?
It is best to take it with food if you are eating a 'bad' unhealthy meal/drinking alcohol as it would contain toxins you don't want and Activated Charcoal will bind with the toxins and take them away. So yes, take with food rather than before or after. However, do not have it with a healthy meal or other supplements as you wont absorb the nutrients. If you want to take it as part of a general detox (against potential heavy metals, pollution, long term build up) then we advise that you take on an empty stomach.
Will it stop medication absorbing into my body?
Yes, Activated Charcoal may inhibit the absorption of any compound. We recommend taking Activated Charcoal 2 hours either side of medication. Please consult your GP for more assistance.
Is it ok to remove the shell and mix it with water?
Yes, you could do that however do take care as the powder is very fine.
Can you take Activated Charcoal and Lactospore together?
Yes you can but we advise taking them 2 hours apart.
Can you open the capsule and clean your teeth with the powder?
Yes, it is perfectly fine to put the powder on your toothbrush and clean your teeth with it.
